The only thing I can think of where rapid handoff would be needed in a restaurant is for mobile POS terminals if the wait staff is entering orders and payments and such at the table via tablet. Otherwise anything that matters (to the business) is going to be fixed or isn't super-duper-realtime critical. Unifi has a zero-handoff roaming feature but you need to take into account the design restraints.
