Me too. I remember getting a special doo-dad from US Robotics (or someone?) that did auto-dial so that we could use more than one computer on the net at the same time. That experience was part of what drove us to become a WISP.

I remember as far back as Netscape - it automatically did the protocol:// but you needed to do foo.bar.com <http://foo.bar.com>. Are you going as far back as Mosaic or something?
