I was hiding in the back of a pickup cruising main street one evening. A cop
was passing by in the opposite direction. One of my buddies grabbed a big
bunch of hay from the bed of the truck and heaved it onto the cops windshield.
It had a beer bottle in it and it cracked the cops windshield. We took off
about 80 mph. Quite a thrill ride. Never got caught. I had many episodes of
“never got caught” in my youth. I think someone in heaven was bribing angels
to look out for me.

I have repelled down hills and trees as adult. As punk kid we repelled down
Piggly Wiggly escaping sheriff after we egged his car from roof of SOS TV among
other targets. They could never figure out how we got up and down so quickly.
Getting up we used truck fan belts looped to telephone pole and shimmied up
with backs on wall.....getting down we used rope and repelling gear my pops got
for us from surplus military store. My brother still has some of it. We used
telephone pole as well. Fun times

It's Ironic that you hang off of towers for a living but your wife won't let
you safely rappel down a building. Unless you had a plan to repel the building
and that might be painful...

Our zoo is sponsoring a repelling event for charity off a 12 story downtown

Guess I am not repelling off a historic building. Glad I have two ears as one
is shot.
