Round here they put in a cup after quick roast with butter and white cheese.
Some add chili powder.

Grocery store.
Microwave for perhaps 40 –60 seconds rolling once while cooking.
Then shuck, butter, salt and eat.
Cheap and better than what you will get from someone else.
No boiling away the flavor.
Tune the cook time so the kernels just lose their lighter sheen.
