Seems like we always end up with 50+ customers >2 miles from a typical
site and then a handful <1 mile. In that case I'd say throw up an omni
on the 5.4 band or something, but when you only get to mount at 100+
feet, it's not real useful because you still end up shooting over top of
all the close subs since the omni pattern at -15 degrees elevation
sucks. So I'd still rather have null-fill, IMO. Keep most of the beam
out towards the max range and in between, null-fill will take care of
the close-in customers.

That depends on a variety of factors right?

Effectively it’s a geometry question. 4 degree downtilt seems
standard on carrier antennas though… but they also are trying to keep
the cells smaller.

But 4 degrees downtilt on a sector with 7 degree vertical beamwidth
seems excessive unless you’re doing really small cells.

Alpha Wireless makes a great sector. Alpha is the antenna OEM for
Telrad and Airspan among others.

KP makes one - I haven't used them myself, but I've always only ever
heard good things about their antennas. I can't think of any others in
120 degree off hand.
