It looks to have more than basic things these days though. Host
monitoring, traffic graphing and netflow statistics. I can do all that
in Cacti for free.

Back when we used Whatsup, we used MRTG for traffic and signal graphs.
PRTG is very simple to set up, how much simpler do you want?
Wasn’t there another Whatsup type program called Big Brother?
