Those are all very good questions that Matt would need to answer.

George,

I think you understood the question fine - the issue with having anything other than a 450i SM to be able to use the 5.1 and 2 bands is the problem. The selection of SM’s available to use in 5.1/2 is currently limited to only the much higher priced 450i SM’s.

Is Cambium planning on releasing or updating the ‘commodity’ priced 450SM to use the full frequency range of the AP or not?

Or put another way - the current 450I SM’s are simply license restricted versions of the AP, rather than a dedicated SM. This makes the cost of the SM high due to the rugged case, high end CPU, timing hardware, extra memory, etc. Will there be a stripped down SM capable of operating in 5.1/2 to make those bands (and therefor the 450i AP’s) more competitive and useful?

I guess I didn't understand Mark's question. Yeah, so the regular 450 is locked by hardware filter to 5470-5900. 450i APs and SMs do 4940-5925 or maybe 6050. You'll need a 450i SM to use the 5.1 and 5.2 bands. Then if you have any 450 SMs on the sector, all that is moot.

450d physically can't, so it'll be only integrated...

I believe Matt said they're still waiting on FCC approval for

Has Cambium ever said what the plan is with respect to 450i
and the lower 5.1 and 5.2 bands? The 450i AP can run in
them at high power, but the only SM’s available are the
much higher priced 450i integrated or a AP set to SM mode,
which makes it cost prohibitive for residential deployment.

        Did I miss something?
