I had one require drawings of the proposed work, a parts list, and spec sheets for the equipment. No hassle otherwise, I think they put the paperwork in a file folder and put the folder in a file drawer.

How do you handle the COI, only provide it when requested, Charge for failed install time, or require direct contact with the landlord before install?
