Of which has been going horribly. v4b3 never crashed, never had issues, had a
working web interface.

The new version crashed when you told it to ping (because that's not a major
feature...)

I found it on some download site. The only "wrong" with it is you won't get
whatever new stuff they're doing. Though honestly I don't know what that's
going to be.

is there anything wrong with just continuing to use the PC version of dude as

from their website too?

You can install x86 RouterOS on the same PC. Just have to buy the RouterOS
license.....though I couldn't tell you what license level.

I wish they kept the PC server version going.

I’ve got a computer that is always on anyway, so it runs The Dude.

I don’t know if I have a Routerboard in the plant that can handle it at the
moment.

Thank you. I somehow convinced myself otherwise, but could not find any
documentation backing it up.

No, the client is just for interfacing with the server.

Once configured (using the client), does The Dude require the Client in any way
