Short answer is yes.

Looks like your load is about 5.2 amps.
Your battery is really a single 24 volt battery with 12 aH of capacity.

It lasts 2.333 hours.

12 amp hours/2.333 hours = 5.14 amps

If you have 8 batts (really meaning 4 batteries consisting of two 24 volt 12 aH
battery each (a battery means a collection of cells))
that is 48 aH @ 24 volts total.

48/5.14=9.32 hours.

Or, doing it using the preferred watt hour method:
24 volts x 5.2 amps = 125 watt load.
Your batts are 12Vx12aH or 144 Watt Hours each.
So you have 288 Watt Hours of battery.

288/125=2.3 hours of run time.

If you have 8 of these 144 watt hour batterys, you have a total of 1152 watt
hours of storage. (1.152 kWh or about 14 cents worth of power in my
neighborhood).

1152/125=9.216 hours of run time.

Subject: [AFMUG] Additional run time through batteries

I have a 24v site that uses two 12v 12ah batteries. I get about 2h 20m of run
time.

Does it stand to reason if I get eight batteries my run time would be 8+ hours?
 Is sizing linear?
