I use “round” “eliptical” “rectangular” and “ridged” when referring to 
waveguide.

Yes, this is why I use the term 'cylindrical' for the pipe shaped physical 
waveguide interface, which helps to avoid confusion with things like circular 
polarity (C-band satellite waveguide / BUC / LNB stuff, etc).
