If it is the pot, you should be able to alter the distortion if you move the pot while playing one of the resonant notes.

Vol 4 Bass 7 Mid 5 Treble 9....speaker is fine....I am going to use the preamp and line out to a crown amp and cabinet for tonights gig but I do need to get it fixed. Ideas?
