I don’t think this is just a math problem unless the ground is assumed to be flat between the sites. Why not set it up in LinkPlanner that will take topography into account as well as Fresnel clearance.
1/4 miles out on a 5 mile shot, though, Fresnel zone will be pretty narrow. I explain to customers it isn’t like a laser pointer, more like you took a football by the pointy ends and stretched it.
