I should mention that the comparison was for

a) paying a utility pole contractor to deliver and install a treated pole,
hole boring etc, 55' of pole above ground level, set directly into the earth

vs

b) excavation, shoring, re-bar, concrete foundation work etc for a 55'
steel pole
