FPL is estimating close to 2 million people will lose power in this event.
Trying to stay positive, but this looks nasty. Definitely will be worse than
the 2 that hit us directly in 2004.

We are riding it out in a CBS house with good roof with my mother and sisters,
about 10 miles inland. We are in a metal building, so I am going to shut
things down here soon and take the servers and critical machines with me.

TV news says now Category 4, still predicted to hit West Palm first and
parallel the “space coast”, predicting Georgia won’t get the 140 mph winds but
will see storm surge. Gov. Scott saying unequivocally evacuate now, also the
east coast of FL will, not may, lose power.
