I've been seeing and hearing about this issue with several UBNT radios;
locos, nanostations, rockets. I suspect that there is some production
issue with too little of something, or too much of something else.
None-the-less, I think it would be wise to put some sort of protective
cover over those displays..

This was on a mast facing east, so the back was exposed to the west
wind. The holes behind the mast seem to have suffered less.
At first I thought they had been pecked by birds, but there was no
sign whatsoever of bird poop, so I don�t think that�s it.
I was thinking maybe we should put a piece of Super 88 vinyl tape over
the LEDs at new installs, we don�t use the LEDs much anyway. But also
I see there is clear Gorilla repair tape that claims to be UV
resistant and suitable for outdoor use. Maybe we just put a strip of
that over the LEDs?
