I like their pickup trucks that can go on the rails though. Pretty
funny when you stop for the crossing gates and a pickup truck rolls by.

Railroad regulations would end up prohibiting the majority of our
installs. Cant climb any tower structure that doesnt have an
installation report accompanying the preinstallation engineering report
and if it hasnt passed inspection in the last year it cant be accessed,
there goes every residential tower.
Customers would walk away with an outstanding groundplane in their home
though

Most railroads have been installing towers and PTP links to support
their requirement for the positive train control technology. This
from what little I have looked in to also requires them to have more
sensors and such along the rail lines. With these towers and
backhaul networks in place, it would make for an easy addition to
add a WISP business. The railroad already bought and paid for
everything but the PTMP units and CPE on the rail tower network. We
should all be so lucky.

microwave ptp is probably part of the trains legacy comm systems. Most
RR's throw as little tech away as possible... never know when that
4884 will come in handy... We just heard about a 2.3 UP link that ATT
is in a uproar about and so far UP has said pound sand... FCC will
moderate this..
