I just restored a 50yr old 12Kw air-cooled Onan. A little TLC and new regulator an viola got Forrest's Standby controller and

for around $600 buck we got a nice genny to run a medium site. Its crazy how a single diode and a few dried caps caused this

thing to be unrepairable. Motor and generator was in great shape.. it just wouldnt produce voltage. It has a simple regulator board

that provides the exciter a voltage which is then regulated for a consistent output.

        Anyone see mistakes in this?
