If someone goes up a stadium light pole like that, then I agree with
Steve regarding the fuel economy of their vehicles.

That sounds pretty sketchy. I make chain mounts that could do this but
I would never recommend using them.
I had a tower that had a trolley mechanism that would lower the radios
for access purposes.
All the cables and the hoisting cable went up the inside. You used a
power winch to raise and lower it.

We are discussing putting antennas on a stadium light pole. It is a
90ft steel monopole with no climbing provisions just smooth sides. They
service the lights by contracting to a lighting company with a huge
lift of some sort.
For our use I'd really like to find a way to make it climbable to allow
access on short notice if necessary.
I have a plan in my head for a fabricated steel pole step with a chain
wrap mount. But i wonder if there is already a product available or any
other ideas how to get up there?
