Yeahbut, you still have resistance.  I want to know if it will work before I 
buy the equipment.  One problem is that I have to exceed the voltage limit of 
the unit with the power supply.  So if there is a low start up current I will 
be over voltage and may damage it.  So I will probably have a big ol resistor 
and zener diode to protect it against that.

SCADA projects, but they work very well for us.
