I have had a lot of them fail for this issue, Cambium was initially
repairing/replacing old 450AP's even ones that were out of warranty until
they realized how many I had. Then they started to say that basically since
it was out of warranty they weren't going to do anything anymore. I have an
email from Matt basically admitting that these units are going to fail in
the 4-5 year marks due to design flaw. He basically told me to drill some
holes in the bottom of the case for the water to escape if it got in. I was
so pissed at his response that I didn't even bother email him back. These
units were spec'ed at 40 year MTBF ratings and to admit that basically
after 5 years they were going to fail really got me upset especially when I
have junk Tranzeo's still out in service that are 10+ years old running
flawlessly.
