"I priced out some Clearfield cassettes and a rack mount for them. These guys are pretty proud of their stuff. I'll grant that it does seem to be nicely designed, however at 10x the price I'll just do it the way I have been."
I've gone middle of the road with it. Some of their pricing just doesn't make sense to me. A cassette is nice but when I can import LGX patch and splice modules for $10 and a 12 strand SC/APC pigtail for it for another $10 it doesn't make any sense to me so I'm still building that out my way. On other stuff, like drops where I can cut out a lot of labor, it makes more sense, especially when I look at things like restorability. When someone cuts a 10/6 microduct drop, the tech can just throw a DB coupler on it, pop a new reel in the YourX tap, and pull the line back through to the terminal.
