One way to do it it, would be to just enable open on everything, then turn off encryption on the AP, then go through and change the key on all the SMs and after that's all done turn encryption back on with the new key on the AP. That way, if you do get the key wrong on any of them SMs, you can always switch the AP back to open and fix it... it also should be less downtime than changing directly to the new key (unless you script it, or manage to change them all at the same time some other way).
