Hi Flo, I completely agree with you on the need to do cleanup on the English language version of the articles before translation. In most cases, people hardly check for errors before translation. You can nominate the 16 articles for improvement at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Today's_articles_for_improvement/Nominations. However, this does not stop anyone on this list from helping with improvements as well.
