Hello everyone,
I hope you are doing well and enjoying the few days left in 2019.
I am glad to share with you some good news to end this year with. Applications
are now open hereĀ for scholarships to participate in the 3rd edition of Write
for the Rights editathon, and the second one in Tunis, from the 19th to the
22nd of March 2020.
Write for the Rights is a 3 days editathon during which wikimedians gather to
enrich content related to human rights on the different Wikimedia projects, and
participate in local events related to the theme of human rights happening
simultaneously.
This year, and like last year, participants will get the opportunity to
participate in the different activities of the Mawjoudin Queer Film Festival,
visit some local institutions working on Human rights, and meet with some local
activists to know more about their work.
This year's editathon main theme will be "The history of Feminism and Queer
communities in African and Arab countries", with a focus on the local
non-binary systems of these countries.
For more information about last year's editions where we focused on "Sexual
education and queer activism in Africa and Arab countries" in Tunis and "Queer
communities and right to migration" in Marseille, you can check the meta page
here.
If you have any question or remark, you can reach out to me directly on meta,
here or throught [email protected].
Looking forward to seeing as much as possible of you next march :D
Thanks,
User:Kawayashu
