Dear Wikimedians,
We are excited to share with you that the Ghana Wikimedia Languages Meetup 2023
will take place from May 12-14, 2023, in Tamale, Ghana.
This is the first-ever edition of the event, organized in collaboration with
Dagbani Wikimedians User Group, Fante Wikimedians Community, Ghanaian Pidgin
Community, Moore Wikimedians Community, Gurene Wikimedians Community,
Wikimedians of Twi Language, Dagaare Wikimedians Community and Kusaal
Wikimedians Community.
The meetup aims to bring together volunteers from various Wikimedia Language
communities across Ghana for a weekend of networking, idea sharing, and fun
activities. The main goal is to foster community growth and enhance the
Wikimedia movement in Ghana. We believe that this gathering will provide a
platform for participants to connect, learn from one another, and build
valuable relationships and partnerships.
We are grateful for the support and opportunity provided by the WMF to bring
language communities in Ghana together to foster collaboration and community
growth. In addition to the main activities, we have also planned exciting
social activities that will create ample opportunities for networking and
engagement.
We appreciate your continued support, and we are confident that the Ghana
Wikimedia Languages Meetup 2023 will be a huge success.
