The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for candidates to join the Global Resource Distribution Committee (GRDC <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Global_Resource_Distribution_Committee/Proposal>). This new body will be responsible for managing the Community Fund and set the policy and strategies for its distribution.
This committee will establish principles and standards for funding allocation, improve and adjust the existing process, and provide recommendations to WMF regarding the Community Fund. As part of the Afrika Agenda' <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Afrika_Baraza/Africa_Agenda>s objective to enhance *Equity in Representation and decision-making *in the region, The Afrika Baraza Working Group is amplifying this call for the GRDC candidates. *More information* Nominations are open until March 31, 2025.
