Pocket Dictionary for African Languages

The National African Language Resource Center (NALRC) is adding to her
series of publications Pocket Dictionary for African Languages Series.
Other series published by the NALRC are the "Let’s Speak African
Language Series" and "Learner’s Reference Grammar Series."

The pocket dictionary will be a source of reference to students,
travelers, educators, administrators, government officials, etc. If
you are interested in developing a pocket dictionary for your
language, please send an application letter to the NALRC, including
your CV a sample of the first five alphabets (10 words each) of your
language. Follow the information below for your sample. The total
number of words for both sections is estimated to be between 60,000 â€"
70,000 words.

Foreign Language to English

Word part of speech meaning in English; usage of Word in foreign
language; translation to English.
Example:
Abàmì adj strange; mo rí Abàmì ëdá kan lônà; I saw a strange creature
on the road.

English to Foreign Language

Word part of speech meaning in foreign language; usage of Word
English; translation to foreign language.
Example:
abdomen n ikùn; your abdomen is too big; ikún r÷ ti tóbi jù
