Hi Paa Kwesi, Jouni, all, I added Jouni's site and corrected the link on the PanAfriL10n wiki page on Akan at http://www.panafril10n.org/PanAfrLoc/Akan . This site, for those not familiar with it, is intended to bring together info relevant to localization of software and content in African languages.
Another issue with the varieties of Akan is divergent orthographies inherited mainly from different groups of missionaries. There is an effort to standardize / harmonize these, but I'm not sure where that is now. All the best.
