Google Africa, along with Google Translate, "a free automatic language translation service by Google," are requesting help in evaluating translations with the aim of providing free online translation for 5 African languages: Hausa, Igbo, Somali, Yoruba, and Zulu.

Since Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba are written with extended Latin scripts (unlike Somali and Zulu which use the ASCII / basic Latin script), they present some issues for display that should in principle not pose problems, but might. This is especially the case if one marks tones in Igbo and Yoruba.
