To help more community members to engage in the drafting of the AFRALO-AfrICANN
statement, the AFRALO virtual activities group organizes a webinar series on
the topics chosen for the AFRALO-AfrICANN joint meetings during ICANN public
meetings.
For ICANN 72, we propose to modify the timeline we sent in an earlier mail to
permit for a webinar on the chosen topic prior to the closing of the drafting

You may recall that the AFRALO Virtual activities group made a survey in which
you gave your preferences for the topics to be addressed in 2021. For your
information our previous statements have focused on issues like: Domain Name
System (DNS) Abuse, Universal Acceptance, evolving the ICANN Multistakeholder
model, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), New gTLD Subsequent
Procedures, enhancing ICANN accountability, etc. Please see our previous

The 2 topics that we are yet to address are "New gTLDs Geographic Names" and
