To the AGI community, I apologize in advance if this seems inappropriate but I believe I have a very valid reason to post this. You may have followed the recent post by Stefan Reich. He claims to have invented a Money Printing Machine (he claims it is a joke but not really) and made some very naive statements about trading. I have worked professionally in this field for several years and I tried to share some advice with him in this list. I admired initially his enthusiasm and desire to explore but also I noticed the utterly simplistic understanding of how trading works so I took the time to give him some feedback. That is why we post here right? To share ideas, ask for advice, report about some interesting work by ourselves or others. Almost immediately this guy became very defensive and dismissed anything I said. Not just that he came back few times (even in the title of his post) using my name and making claims I was wrong. I joined his Telegram and watched his youtube videos mostly to see how a new comer in the field would approach algotrading and again maybe to find a way to share ideas and experiences. Even simple comments similar to the ones I made in my response to him, that anybody can check, were met with aggression and even insults from this guy. He still mentioned my name in his video several times, claiming I'm wrong when he just simply overfits one hand picked example without understanding he needs hundreds of examples like that to validate his trading system. He says he does understand that but he never does a proper test. Anyway, after calling me an IDIOT on a live youtube video simply because I pointed out one more time that he needs to do proper stats he banned me even from youtube. I never insulted him and you can see that I'm relatively nice and I tried to interact professionally with him. The reason I'm reporting this here is because I would expect that the majority of people in this list are CS and science professionals and have a professional behavior when sharing ideas and scientific results. This guy instead takes every comment as an insult and then attacks you publicly if you engage with him. Of course the solution is not to interact with him any longer but I wanted to report this behavior anyway so the community is aware of this person and his completely inappropriate behavior.
