They are a minority because people are universally racist and become more so as we get older, because we learn to make useful predictions about people from their appearance. When I travel outside the US, I look American and people assume correctly that I speak English. I say a minority, because most people support national borders to keep foreigners out, especially from poor countries. This minority is certainly not in power, or else we would have no borders and people could travel, live, and work where they wanted. I think this is where the world is headed anyway, because technology is making it easier to communicate, travel, and trade across borders, and this generally is beneficial to both sides. I recognize that behavior is largely genetic. Prisons in the US are 90% male and 50% Black. Males commit 95% of murders in every country and even among chimpanzees. The lowest homicide rates are in Asian countries like China and Japan and the highest are in majority Black nations in the Caribbean. We tried to fix racism by punishing those who claim it is due to genetics, with zero effect. Interracial breeding could fix this by making race go away, but for that you need open borders. Instead we have the fertility map that we have, with predictable demographics for the next 50 years. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Te0af3a0c35a03987-Mbf13938749373900abb569fe Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
