Missing from the signatories are OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Also missing is xAI, despite Elon’s pledge to open-source xAI’s models:

Had China’s Kimi K3 not topped the leaderboard and pledged to release its weights, I’m not convinced this letter would exist. The timing looks reactive.
