"OK, I agree, but if we are to do intelligent computing, we must somehow represent what we read and know. Apparently, the reason people have been gravitating to a textual representation (that can't possibly support computing) is because they lack anything better. What is needed here is a proposal of some sort, to get this ball rolling. Any ideas?" ~ Steve R.
I just came from AAAI Spring Symposium where I gave a talk entitled "The Neural Proposition: Structures for Cognitive Systems".It was about having a database of facts where activation can flow from fact to fact much in the same way neurons pass activationamongst each other in the brain. The AGI would use this representation to hold its knowledge of the world. It doesn't have to be neural propositions, but any kind of database of facts would probably do for AGI. ~PM ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/21088071-f452e424 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21088071&id_secret=21088071-58d57657 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
