That is probably how much health insurance costs for someone your age. It is not just "obamacare" - it is the underlying cost of health insurance as it was before Obamacare. If you are making enough money so that you don't qualify for a subsidy then you probably could afford it even if your company stopped buying it for you. (I am inferring that I your company is supplying you with health coverage based on the fact that you weren't aware of how much health insurance actually costs before you looked it up on an exchange.)
