Despicable me has been quiet for too long but it is time to scream a
gigantic WTF! Why can't you do one of the things other normal people
do to get hold of 40K, unheard of things like "get a job", "go on
kickstarter", "start an AGI makerspace collective", "rob a bank"!

The "three people who generate all the list traffic", ocassionally 5
or 6 of them, even if they have interesting roadmaps or hunches are
their own worst enemies and bottlenecks. Paraphrasing Yoda, post not
or build teams, there is no try! Even arranging some SSL certificates
for the latest revision of my roadmap and aligning some PNGs on a
couple of websites I am spending half a week, I need helpers and so do
you, and you, and you.

Given that I still view the problem as an engineering problem I
neither can comprehend what amazing mathematical edifice will do the
trick nor do I see how there could be one or two key insights which
Matt has been fishing for in vain.

Of course it has to be engineered and be "fit for purpose", which
largely was not the case with Watson and very partially is the case
with Vicarious (they assure us CAPTCHA cracking is a side effect of
their "correct" A-cortex architecture, it may well be). As an
engineering project it does need investment or a bootstrap business
model, and as a novel undertaking it may fail the first x times. I
think I finally came up with a bootstrapping concept that might just
work, if it can attract the investment for the initial lift-off. I've
had less than limited success recruiting and sourcing for the project,
but my concept/pitch only recently reached maturity in my biased
opinion. I will try to pitch it in Northern Europe and if I hit
cultural, financial or talent limits I will take it somewhere bigger.

And so should you!
