Well, it's a free country, so more acronyms and groups can be added as long as it pleases everybody. My opinion is that it is sufficient to just add an adjective to emphasize some aspect like "narrow AI" versus "general AI" and omit the acronym altogether. I mean, laymen can relate to AI. There is talk here of not only adding new acronyms, but also hyphenating! To make matters worse "cognitive computing" has come into vogue, but in the end that seems more like a marketing ploy rather than an "inevitable and natural" differentiation. Fragmentation and cliques have been a huge problem in AI, cognitive computing, neural networks, belief networks, strong AI, ah the hell with it! :)
