For those of you laboring on your AI/AGI etc scheme mostly independently, I set up a group on facebook to discuss the business side of things. Everybody knows something but nobody knows everything about these issues.
This is the basic idea: * Intended to be used for the exchange of helpful information by those developers who are working on an AI project outside the auspices of an established commercial or academic institution. Example topics: open source or closed, book publishing tips, trade secret law, patent law, crowdfunding, etc etc. * Intended for individuals or small groups who are working on a determinate project which is intended to be a commercial success, either in the form of publications (eg., a book), patents, service/consulting, and/or software/hardware. * Not intended for debate regarding specific AI methods, the mind/body issue, consciousness, etc, as many groups already exist for that.
