The most likely reason seems to be that some people in the military who have office jobs spend a lot of time surfing the net. When they find something cool they tell all their other office worker military friends and before you know it, you're getting hits from 10 different military organisations. I'd never really thought about it before, but I guess people working in the Pentagon get bored and read blogs during the day too ;-) I'll take off my tin foil hat now...
