Ben, I'm satisfied with the current mail list format and minimal-banning policy.
Because I am concentrating on my own work, I merely glance at most posts, reading only those which pertain to my approach or those which might cover a topic that should be paying attention to. I am not offended by any impolite content in a post that I only glance at. During my multiyear list subscription, I have saved only 130 posts. I find writing an email or blog post time-consuming, and typically expend the effort in order to wrap up and describe some recently completed project task. On the other hand, when Steve Richfield joined the list, I was among the first to engage him - in order to find out how his dialog system worked in comparison to Texai. If this list format changes to an organized topic forum, then that could work for me as well, as long as a feed is available so that I could receive all postings as they arrive. Thanks Ben for establishing and maintaining this valuable resource, and thanks to everyone else for posting. -Steve Stephen L.
