The name of this contest is "The Agoran Agricultural Association". This is a public contract. 2. The Secretary of Agriculture (hereafter SoA) is responsible for maintaining this contract. If this contract is a contest, the SoA is its Contestmaster. Initially, the SoA is BobTHJ. 3. Any player may become party to this agreement by announcement. Parties to this agreement are known as Farmers. As soon as possible after a first-class player becomes party to this agreement for the first time the SoA shall create a Digit Ranch and three Water Rights Vouchers in their possession. Any Farmer may cease to be party to this agreement by announcement. Any Land or Crops in eir possession are destroyed. Any Farmer CAN cause another Farmer to cease to be a Farmer without objection. 4. Each type of Crop is a currency. Ownership of Crops is restricted to Farmers. There are ten types of Crops, represented by the numbers 0 through 9. The SoA is the recordkeeper of Crops. 5. A Farmer CAN spend a Crop of the corresponding type for each digit of a number's canonical decimal representation to Harvest that number, when permitted by this contract. A Farmer CANNOT Harvest a number if e does not possess the required Crops to spend. 6. A Farmer CANNOT Harvest a number unless e specifies exactly one of the following effects: a. During the voting period of a Proposal, a Farmer CAN once Harvest the ID number of that proposal. As soon as possible after doing so, the SoA shall award that Farmer 2 Points if the proposal was Ordinary, or 4 points if it was Democratic. b. Within one week after an ID number is assigned to a CFJ, a Farmer CAN once Harvest the ID number of that CFJ. As soon as possible after doing so, the SoA shall create two Water Rights Vouchers in that Farmer's possession. c. Within one week after a new rule is added to the ruleset, a Farmer CAN once Harvest the ID number of that rule. As soon as possible after doing so, the SoA shall create a Land of a random type in that Farmer's possession. d. Within one week after an existing rule is amended, a Farmer CAN once Harvest the ID number of that rule. As soon as possible after doing so, the SoA shall create floor(P) Crops of random types in that Farmer's possession, where P is the power of that rule. e. Within one week after a rule is repealed from the ruleset, a Farmer CAN once Harvest the ID number of that rule and specify another Farmer. As soon as possible after doing so the SoA shall destroy a random Land in the specified Farmer's possession. f. A Farmer CAN Harvest the number 1234567890 and specify another Farmer. As soon as possible after doing so the SoA shall select a random land owned by the specified Farmer and give it to the harvesting Farmer. 7. Land is a class of non-fungible assets. Ownership of Land is restricted to Farmers. Each Land possesses a name. The owner of a Land MAY change its name by announcement. The SoA is the recordkeeper of Land. 8. A Digit Ranch is a type of Land. Seed is a Digit Ranch switch with a range of the integers from 0 to 9 inclusive. The Seed of a Digit Ranch is flipped to a random value upon its creation, and thereafter CAN NOT be changed. At the beginning of each week, each Digit Ranch creates one Crop of the type corresponding to its Seed in the ownership of its owner. 9. A Mill is a type of Land. Operator is a Mill switch with values of + (addition), - (subtraction), * (multiplication) and / (division). The Operator of a Mill is flipped to a random value upon its creation, and thereafter CAN NOT be changed. A player may destroy two Crops e owns and specify a Mill e owns which is not In Production by announcement. E then forms a mathematical expression using the values of those two crops and the value of the Mill's Operator exactly once each, and e evaluates the expression modulo 10, rounded to the nearest integer (breaking ties toward zero). If the result is a number, e gains one Crop of the corresponding type. That Mill is then In Production. At the beginning of each week, each Mill which is In Production ceases to be so. 10. Water Rights Vouchers are a currency. Ownership of Water Rights Vouchers is restricted to Farmers. The SoA is the recordkeeper of Water Rights Vouchers. 12. Once per week, a Farmer may attempt to purchase a new Land by announcing the type of Land e wishes to purchase. As soon as possible after such an announcement, if it is permitted for em to do so, the SoA shall revoke 3 Points from that Farmer and then create a Land of the specified type in that Farmer's possession. 13. As soon as possible after the beginning of each month, for each Farmer, the SoA shall destroy a number of Water Rights Vouchers in that Farmer's possession equal to the number of Digit Ranches that Farmer possesses. If the Farmer does not possess enough Water Rights Vouchers to meet this requirement, the SoA shall destroy a number of random Lands in that Farmer's possession equal to the difference. 14. This contract CAN be amended by any Farmer without three objections. 15. Creating proposals or CFJs for the clear and primary purpose of Harvesting the ID numbers assigned is a breach of this contract. 16. The Federal Subsidy is an integer value. At the end of any week in which the AAA contract did not attempt to award points the Federal Subsidy is incremented by 1. At the end of any week in which the AAA contract attempted to award at least ten points the Federal Subsidy is decremented by 1. At the end of any week in which the AAA contract attempted to award at least 20 points the Federal Subsidy is decremented by an additional 1. Once each week, a farmer who at the beginning of that week owned fewer lands than the Federal Subsidy may 'request subsidization' by announcement. As soon as possible after such an announcement the SoA shall create a random type of land and a Water Rights Voucher in the possession of that Farmer.
