I was deliberately trying to preserve the elements and style of the
original while "translating" from shield to flag.

The proposal that repealed the Arms said "WHEREAS nobody even uses
shields anymore", it didn't say anything about disliking the general
design. I see no reason why my Candidate shouldn't have the chance to be
voted down democratically.

Where do I have argent on argent? I should have gules on argent, sable
on argent, argent on sable, and sable on argent. I was careful to follow
heraldric rules -- more careful than the original escutcheon, I might
add, which cheated by using "proper".
