Gratuitous: The rules are currently silent on the continuity of entities.
I've played in many nomics, none of them start out with a continuity of
entities issue, and I've never encountered one that has as an *unwritten
default* that if a rule surrounding a game quantity is amended while keeping
the same name, that that game quantity is entirely reset. There's a
certain degree of common sense that can and should be applied here as
a common-sense test, with a prima facie assumption of continuity being
in the best interests of the game. -G.
