A thread elsewhere about unrecorded deeds prompted me to wonder: Does an Agoran instrument take effect when it’s dated, when it’s published, or at some other time?
I’d almost assume “when it’s published,” right now, as the current state of Agora does not formally recognize any kind of private action. Informal private actions can happen, but they only become effective through the public fora. However, that hasn’t always been true… Are there any interesting CFJs or historical rules on the matter? -o
