Spelunking the Rules Contest = Caves Report = BATS NEARBY!
Delve 2 Goals (ending Tues 12 Jul 2011 16:00:32 GMT) ------------------------------------------------------------ Rule 2157 (Judicial Panels) Rule 2138 (The Interstellar Associate Director of Personnel) Rule 2338 (Cashing Promises) Pitons after Delve 1 ------------------------------------------------------------ Murphy 3 Wooble 1 Spelunking The Rules Contest (Regulations) 1. When no Expedition is ongoing, the Contestmaster SHALL, ASAP, randomly select and publish the name and number of three Rules from the most recently- published Ruleset (the Goals). This begins the Delving Period of a new Expedition. 2. The Delving Period lasts for one week. During this time, a "Delve" is one of: (a) Submitting a proposal that includes amending or repealing one or more Goals; (b) Calling a CFJ that explicitly cites one or more Goals in the Caller's Arguments; (c) Judging a CFJ that explicitly cites one or more Goals in the Judge's Arguments; (d) Making a move or series of moves (game actions or possibly an attempted "scam") that critically relies on one or more Goals; for this option, the message in which the move is made or set of moves is completed must make it clear the move(s) is/are intended to be a single Delve. 3. ASAP after the Delving Period ends, the Contestmaster SHALL award by announcement: (a) 3 Pitons to the single person who, in the contestmaster's opinion, made the best Delve; heavy consideration is given for the number of current Goals in a single delve; the degree to which they are tied together, and general interest value to Agora. (b) 1 Piton to the person who made the craziest or generally stupidest Delve, especially one that is otherwise self-destructive to the person's Agoran interests. If the Contestmaster feels that insufficient Delves were submitted for making one or both of the above awards, then the Contestmaster CAN instead, with 2 Support, either: (c) Extend the Delving period by one week from its original end time, once per expedition; or (d) Declare a Lost Expedition for either or both awards, awarding no Pitons for the lost award(s). Making these awards, or a Lost Expedition, ends any ongoing Expedition. 4. The first person with 10 or more pitons wins the contest. When someone wins, this contest ends and dissolves. Some Legalese: Pitons are a non-negative, non-transferable, non-asset integral indicator of a person's progress in this contest, reported by the Contestmaster asap after each Expedition, and defaulting to zero. The Contestmaster CANNOT award emself Pitons. The contestmaster's decision on these awards and interpretations of these Contest Regulations is final, unless e is found by the Courts to be acting in arbitrary and capricious disregard for these regulations.
