I initiate a zombie auction with the following lots. The ITEMS in each lot is to have that player's master switch set to the auction winner. The AUCTIONEER is Agora. The ANNOUNCER is myself (as Registrar). The MINIMUM BID/CURRENCY is 1 Coin. The auction ends 7 days after this announcement, or 96 hours after the last bid change (whichever comes first). * LOTS (from highest to lowest winning bid): pokes, o, Publius Scribonius Scholasticus, nichdel, Quazie COMMENTARY: There's only one auction. Place bids in coins. Highest bidder gets pokes, second-highest gets o, etc. Ties go to earlier bidder. Your bid is automatically cancelled at the end if you don't have the funds in hand. I think we've patched it so that bid attempts that aren't positive integers just fail. The order is my rough guess at who might be most likely to re-animate themselves (i.e. pokes least likely). If some of these persons cease to be zombies during the auction, the whole auction may be shut down. FOR REFERENCE, CURRENT TEXT OF Rule 1885, "Zombie Auctions", following proposals 8023 and 8028: Rule 1885/6 (Power=2.0) Zombie Auctions Whenever a zombie (1) has Agora for a master, (2) an auction for it is not underway, and (3) has not been won as an auction lot in the past 14 days, then the Registrar CAN put that zombie (along with any other zombies that fulfill the same conditions) up for auction. In a timely fashion after the beginning of each month, the Registrar SHALL either initiate such an auction or, if no zombies meeting these conditions existed at the beginning of the month, announce that no such auction is necessary. For such an auction, the lots are the qualifying zombies, ordered at the discretion of the Registrar. The Registrar is the announcer, and the minimum bid is 1. The Registrar CAN, by announcement, flip the master switch of a zombie lot from Agora to that lot's winner after the winner has paid for the lot; for the purposes of the auction, to transfer a zombie to a player is to set that zombie's master switch to that player.
