Hi Henning,
Thanks for your reply. I had to install the development files of X11 (in
Debian) before I could run zquake-x11. I get the following by running
zquake-x11:
Console initialized.
Error: VID: Could not open display [:0]
Now, when I run start.pl and press 's', the speech output welcomes me to
Quake, but after a few seconds, goes back to the launcher...
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Nick

Hi Nick,

Since I had problems running AudioQuake on Windows because of SAPI, I

have speech, but when I press de letter s followed by enter, nothing
happens and I hear the options once again.
It works well here. Try to launsch the zquake-x11 binary from a text
console and check the output. Don't forget to set the DISPLAY variable
before.
$ export DISPLAY=:0
$ ./zquake-x11
I also removed the -window option in start.pl.
cheers
Henning
