I've got around 420 MB of ram and 1.0 GHZ of ram on an AMD athlon processer.
How do you check the percentage? Is it cpu usage-mine always is at at least
95 percent, if not mostly 100 this computer is slow...

Well I am using skype 24/7, and I am using a gig of ram, planning to go to 2
gigs soon, and a p4 3 gig prossesser. No probs running 5 way conferences
here, takes no more then maybe 100 meg ram at absalute max. on standby it
uses around 30 megs. As for prossessor power? Nothing. I check my usage all
the time, and it stands at around 1%.

i've got skype running in the background most of the time, and it doesn't
take up any more resources. i don't notice it anyway and i've got 512 mb of
ram, a 28.8k connection and about a 1 ghz athlon 300+ processor, i haven't
clocked the max rate yet but it's around there.
