Hi again Matthew, am just going over my materials for AQ, and making sure I have the latest links and such to all of the necessary code etc. to compile the game as a whole...

This brings me to your question again, of what might need doing so that we can more intelligently work with AQ and take it further...

Speaking for myself, I'd say simply, that every bit of the source code that you and Sebby have ought to be available so we can check it out. By this, I personally mean that if I can't get in touch with you or he, for whatever reason, I can usually figure out what I need to know by poring over the code in question, so having it in a place where I can easily get at it, and it's well organized, would be a really invaluable resource in my opinion...

At this point, at least for me, it seems to be kind of spread out and I'm not clear what each bit is, always. <smile> Maybe it's me being blonde! lol! but if I'm to be able to go on at all with it, I really need everything pretty centralized. Does this make sense?

Would it be a prob to include everything in one ftp folder per say?...

This way, I can be absolutely sure that I have everything that coincides with the latest working version, or beta, and then if anything is amiss, then I know it's on my end, and not because I've gotten lost or some such, while trying to locate some of the proper source. Know what I mean?... <smile>

Anyway, I'll make sure I have all of the links and such that you sent me last and see what that leads me to and get back with you / the list...

Sorry if this note is too vague, am just dashing it off pretty quickly, as am busy...

Have a great day and will chat witcha soon!...

Smiles,

Cara

I would like to find out what you guys feel is holding us back from being in a situation where you can continue the project yourselves.

Personally, I would love to finish the stats system but sebby keeps running into bad luck with his computer and we get knocked back every time this happens. Sadly that means we've still not finished our authentication protocol. On the other hand, the new stats website system development is going slowly but is nearly done. The plan is that, when done, you can use it to provide stats services for other games you develop.

Anyway, I would, as indicated above, like to know what you feel you need to take over running the whole thing. I will still be working on related things (level editing being my particular interest) but I simply can no longer support you myself.

My recovery from the accident is not going as well as we'd hoped. Though I am now on crutches, I have to have another major operation soon and would like to get as much of AGRIP opened up as possible by that time so that you can take the project where you want to in future.

Please reply with your thoughts and thanks for your continued support!

bye just now,
best regards,
